>Natasha’s Daily Scripture, Prayer and Reflection for 2.20.11

>For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.

Matthew 6:14

Pray
Father today I must let go and forgive those who have sinned against me. I cannot ask for Your forgiveness if I can't forgive others. I have to accept the fact that You will always settle my grievances, You will always right the wrongs done against me, and You will always bring light into dark places and spaces. I thank You Father. In Your name I pray. Amen.

Reflection
We must stop carrying around anger, resentment, bitterness, sadness, jealousy and envy. We must let go and turn our cares and troubles over to our heavenly Father. We must learn and begin to forgive. Today I heard an incredible sermon by the great Ambassador Andrew Young that he gave at Union Institutional Baptist Church this morning. He spoke about forgiveness and it struck a chord with me because I had been contemplating a situation for some time now, and a few days ago the intensity increased exponentially- and I was trying to decide how to handle it…

Ambassador Young said we have to forgive in order to receive forgiveness; and he reminded me of something that I have said plenty of times before, "that person you're mad at probably doesn't even know you're mad at them or why…they are too busy dealing with their own issues". We are carrying around extra weight on our shoulders that we don't need to carry. This added weight causes stress and our bodies react negatively to too much stress. Today I take that step to forgive someone who has wronged me, but may not even realize that I know or how much it truly affected me.

Let's let go people.

Loving you always,

Natasha
