So then, each of us will give an account of ourselves to God. Therefore let us stop passing judgment on one another. Instead, make up your mind not to put any stumbling block or obstacle in the way of a brother or sister. Therefore do not let what you know is good be spoken of as evil. For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit, because anyone who serves Christ in this way is pleasing to God and receives human approval.
Romans 14:12, 13, 16-18
Pray
Father yesterday was the holiday of Thanksgiving, celebrating a moment in time when a group of Your children were taken advantage of, abused, and slaughtered in Your name. Father forgive those ancestors who took part in that barbaric behavior, Father forgive those in modern times who still actively work to destroy any of Your children. Father forgive those of us who feel it is our right and obligation to judge others, and do Your job. Forgive those of us who pretend to be like Your son Jesus, yet can’t keep track of the number of sins committed in one day, let alone one week. Lord forgive Your children who rely and trust in the concept of luck, and not in You. Forgive us Father. In Your name I pray. Amen.
Reflection
Every day we should give thanks for the blessings God gives us. Every day we should work to help our fellow brothers and sisters. Every day we should strive to do better, live better, speak with love and honesty, and think pure thoughts. Every day we should act as servants not judges.
Love,
Natasha
