But someone will say, “You have faith; I have deeds.”
Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by my deeds. You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that—and shudder. You see that a person is considered righteous by what they do and not by faith alone. As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead.
James 2:18, 19, 24, 26
Father what can I do today to prove my devotion, faith, and trust in You? What can I do to show my desire to be a committed and righteous follower of Christ and ambassador to and for Your Kingdom? Show me who I can help today, who can I bless through the blessings You have bestowed upon me. Who can I lend a shoulder or ear to in their time of need? I give all thanks to You and Jesus, and in Your names I pray. Amen.
Just don’t talk the talk, walk the walk. To receive grace you must give it, to receive favor you must share it, to desire forgiveness you must forgive others, be a helper to receive help in return, and if you want an abundance of blessings you must freely give to others. It’s easy to say, “I’m a Christian. I’m a believer…” but how are you living and who are you following? Are you walking around like Jesus or Judas Iscariot? It takes more courage to walk the walk, and be who you claim to be. Who are you?
