Natasha’s Daily Scripture, Prayer, and Reflection for 10.9.12

But now, all you who light fires and provide yourselves with flaming torches, go, walk in the light of your fires and of the torches you have set ablaze. This is what you shall receive from my hand: You will lie down in torment.

Isaiah 50:11 NIV

Pray
Father You are the Light. You are the source of life and power. Turning to You provides me with the light that I need to reflect to the world. I will never seek out another source.

Reflection
Your attempt to stand on your own and create your own light absent from God leaves you standing in darkness and lonely. Turn instead to God and His light will shine through you.

A person that “lights up a room” can only do so when the light comes from within. A person who “sucks the life out of a room” reflects the negative energy from within, and unfortunately this person isn’t reflecting God’s light—because they are too busy trying to be the torch and flame.

What choice will you make?

Love,

Natasha
