Natasha’s Daily Scripture, Prayer, and Reflection for 11.13.12

For the Lord will not reject [us] forever. Even if He causes suffering, He will show compassion according to His abundant, faithful love. For He does not enjoy bringing affliction or suffering on mankind.

Lamentations 3:31-33 HCSB

Pray
Father I thank You for Your love, guidance, and discipline. Please continue to redirect my steps Lord. Please continue to show me mercy.

Reflection
Just like a parent who loves and shows compassion after disciplining a child, our Father’s love for us doesn’t change just because we temporarily lose our minds and do something dumb or ignorant.

This doesn’t mean that you should run around wild and do whatever you want. What I’m saying is that when you slip, trip, stumble, fall, or crash–know that God still and always will love you enough to help pick you up. When you do the most ignorant things, He loves you enough to thump you upside your head as a wake up call. He loves us enough to show us the correct path and to correct us.

I smile when I think of God’s love. It’s like nothing else in the world or in our imagination.

Lovingly,

Natasha
