Natasha’s Daily Scripture, Prayer, and Reflection for 3.21.13

God is our refuge and strength, a helper who is always found in times of trouble.

Psalms 46:1 HCSB

Pray
Father protect me. Protect my mind, heart, spirit, and soul. Protect me from attacks of all kinds. Guide me away from situations that could cause me harm. Block negative messaging and influences. I thank You for being my rock, shelter, and protector. I love You Father. Amen.

Reflection
We are to live in the world but not be of the world. Protect your mind and soul from worldly and dark influences that could lead you astray. Protect yourself from music, movies, images, pictures, symbols, books, and other sources that are not reflections of God’s light.

Listen to the words of songs you sing. Pay close attention to the images and symbols you wear or place in your home. Be cautious of how and where you spend and invest your money. Do your research. Words are powerful. Thoughts are things, as a friend of mine often says. Our minds are extremely powerful.

Not everyone out there has the best intentions. There are a lot of wolves in sheep clothing. Pray that God always protects you on your journey.

Love always,

Natasha
P.S. Happy birthday to my grandmother—such class and grace, and definitely a soldier for Christ. Another birthday shout out to my dear friend Brandon who would have been 31 years old yesterday. He passed too soon for us, but God’s time is never to be questioned. I know God is using him for something greater now.
