Natasha’s Daily Scripture, Prayer, and Reflection for 4.23.13

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

Hebrews 13:8 HCSB

Pray
I pray for peace within. I pray to change through growth but to remain the same person as Your child and servant. May I grow to be the person who is always regarded as loving, fair, honorable, and dignified, and if anyone were to say other—may others never believe this claim. Father that is the person I work to be, always reflecting Your light, and always being an example of Christ that You and Your son would expect of me. I work hard to be more disciplined, courageous, and determined. Strengthen me Lord. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Reflection
No matter who met Jesus he was always the same–Love and Light–and we can rely on this today, tomorrow, and forever. Is this not an amazing thing to consider and to know?

Who else besides Jesus and God can we rely upon to consistently be the same, in a positive way, today as they were years ago, or even years from now? We expect a difference in humans. We expect a difference in each other. We expect a difference in ourselves.

But let us be encouraged to know that just as Jesus was so can we be. Be devoted, dedicated, honorable, and unmovable students of Christ. Carry your yoke and expect only that you will always be cared for. This is something I pray my growth will bring to me. I pray to one day walk without fear moving me one way or the other—just walking as commanded.

Happy Tuesday family. I hope that your day is being embraced as a blessing. I’m alive, healthy, functioning, and loved, so a blessing it is indeed for me. Enjoy the rest of your day and may it be productive and rewarding!
