Natasha’s Daily Scripture, Prayer, and Reflection for 7.8.13

We have also obtained access through Him by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. And not only that, but we also rejoice in our afflictions, because we know that affliction produces endurance, endurance produces proven character, and proven character produces hope. This hope will not disappoint us, because God’s love has been poured out in our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.

Romans 5:2-5 HCSB

Pray
Father thank You for the strength to get up and get going today. Thank You for opening my eyes physically and spiritually to see all of the possibilities and opportunities awaiting me. I appreciate the experiences, even the ones that weigh heavily on me—because I’m watching You at work each day. I love and praise You. In Jesus’ name.
Amen.

Reflection
My hope and faith grows each day. Our experiences are uniquely ours, but there is always someone who has it worse than we can ever imagine. Instead of focusing on what’s going wrong in our lives, and the struggles that suffocate us, why don’t we start focusing on the victories, the steps we successfully take, and the fact that we are alive?!? For every negative experience let’s praise three or more positive experiences. Let’s do this!

Happy Monday family. Employed, unemployed, self-employed, under-employed—–it doesn’t matter because our most important job is serving God and helping His children. Let’s get to work!!!!

Sending love,

Natasha
