Sunday Sermon Share Day (Los Angeles) : Natasha’s Daily Scripture, Prayer, and Reflection for 8/4/13

Welcome to Sunday Sermon Share Day for 8/4/13

Today’s sermon comes from West Angeles Church of God in Christ, located in Los Angeles, California (my hometown).

Let me apologize now by explaining that I was so caught up in the sermon that I forgot to take notes and record it early on, so here is a partial summary.

Today’s Subject: Was about Hezekiah and his leveraged life.

Today’s sermon was given by Bishop Charles E. Blake

Today’s Scripture selections from are: I’m missing several scriptures but here are a few.

Romans 8:35, 38
2 Chronicles 32:1
2 Kings 19:14
2 Kings 20:1, 2

Highlights from Today’s Sermon:

Hezekiah was faithful and committed to God.

People want favor from God but don’t give it in return

Romans 8:35, 38

Without faith it is impossible to please Him
Faith goes to the front of the line, lack of it keeps you in the back waiting and passed up.

2 Chronicles 32:1

Faithfulness does not prevent your trouble or your trials but God will be with you in the midst of your trouble.

When you are thrown into the fire, Jesus is already there just like Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego.

God will always pull us out of situations

When you are walking in God’s will and God’s way and people are trying to fight you, they are fighting God—-and they can’t fight and overcome God.

2 Kings 19:14

Get all of your bad reports you have received and spead them out for God take care of, just like Hezikiah spread out his report at the altar for God.

Just please the Lord and He will take care of the rest

2 Kings 20:1, 2

Before you pray turn your face towards the wall and away from the world’s distractions, haters, negative people, circumstances, etc. and turn your mind instead to God.

When you pray believe that you will receive, and God will turn it around.

Don’t pray if you don’t want God to turn it around. Exceedingly and abundantly.

How many of you see yourselves as a Hezekiah? How many of you are fully leveraged in your walk with God? The service today was very moving and had me in deep thought and reflection.

Alrighty everyone you should know what I’m going to say next since I say it every week….Be sure to share highlights from sermons at your church or place of worship here on my blog. Feel free to also visit and contribute to our community chat room where we can have healthy, positive, dialogue on the sermon I shared today, Breaking Bread daily posts, or issues impacting the Christian community. I will be posting shortly a sermon shared by a friend of mine who attended Destiny Metropolitan Worship Church in Marietta, Georgia this morning. Destiny had a great message and sermon today that I’m sure most (if not all) of you should enjoy.

Remember there is absolutely no preaching, passing judgment, converting, recruiting, or focus on any specific church or religious leader. Those are the rules. We’re here to share words of love and peace inspired by the Word of the Bible. We’re here to uplift and never tear down. If you can roll with that, then you can roll with me and the Breaking Bread family! Visit the chat room here:

Have an amazing week family. If you aren’t leveraged, get leveraged!

Love always,
