Natasha’s Daily Scripture, Prayer, and Reflection for 10.14.14

Message From Natasha
I truly needed today’s message. I hope that it helps you or someone you know suffering from a loss of joy! Please read this message and share with others.

Get Your Joy Back

“Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy.”
(1 Peter 1:8, NIV)

TODAY’S WORD from Joel and Victoria
If the circumstances of life have taken away your joy, today is the day to get it back. You weren’t meant to live this life feeling drained, depressed and down. God wants you to be excited about your future and learn to enjoy each and every day.

If you don’t make the conscious effort to keep your joy, year after year you’ll get more and more solemn. Not only will the enemy rob you of the joy that belongs to you, but he’ll rob your family and friends of the gift that you have to give them. When you have joy, you can use that joy to influence the people around you for good. Joy is strength, and when you have joy, you can offer strength to the people God has placed in your life.

Today, draw the line in the sand and say, “That’s it. I’m not going to live another day negative, discouraged, sour and grumpy. I’m going to put a smile on my face. I’m going to live my life happy.” Choose to hold on to joy which is your strength so you can offer strength to people everywhere you go.

Father in heaven, thank You for Your love. Thank You for choosing me and molding me into Your image. Today, I invite You to fill me with Your inexpressible, glorious joy so that I can be a blessing to the people You have placed in my life in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Reflection from Natasha
I’m not sure about you, but this message was delivered right on time for me. Don’t let anything or anyone steal your joy. That’s God’s gift to you and no one and nothing has power and influence over what God gives you. Take it back now!

If you’re remaining silent about something that you’re supposed to be speaking up about, then stop sitting there in silence and speak the Truth! In God’s Truth you will find and receive joy. Your silence is draining you emotionally, physically, and spiritually. Stand up and cast away that darkness!

Questions of the Day
1. What are you going through right now that is stealing (or has stolen) your joy?
2. How long have you been existing in the grey space of life?
3. What healthy activities did you used to participate in that you no longer invest time in because you don’t have the energy or convince yourself that you no longer have time to do?
4. Describe yourself and your life when joy is abundantly within you?
5. Are you tired of merely existing in this state?
6. What do you want out of life?
7. If you know that joy is God’s gift to you, what are you willing to do to reclaim your gift?
