But it’s not as though God’s word has failed….
Romans 9:6 CEB
Thank You Father for never failing me. I give You all the glory. Amen.
Let me first start out by wishing my cousin Princess a happy birthday!
Now let me ask all of you a question.
When has God ever told you one thing and did something else?
As a student of His Word I haven’t came across one example of God flip-flopping on His promises. As a child of God there hasn’t been one time when He failed me.
So why do we get so disappointed when things don’t go the way we plan? Why do we cry out to Him as though He didn’t keep His promise? Is it because we verbalized in prayer or aloud the things we wanted, then took that to mean that God would answer our request just because we said we wanted something, so when our wishes don’t come true then He didn’t keep His part of the bargain?
We can’t even obey His commandments consistently or at all, yet we question His commitment to us. We really need to change our thinking.
Questions of the Day
1. What would you like to thank God for today?
2. How have you dealt with disappointment in the past?
3. If you thank God when you receive the things you desire, do you also thank Him (just because) when you don’t?
4. What was the first thing you thought about when you opened your eyes this morning?
5. What was the first thing you did when you opened your eyes this morning?
6. How could you improve your relationship with God?
