So what are we going to say? Gentiles who weren’t striving for righteousness achieved righteousness, the righteousness that comes from faith. But though Israel was striving for a Law of righteousness, they didn’t arrive. Why? It’s because they didn’t go for it by faith but they went for it as if it could be reached by doing something. They have tripped over a stumbling block.
Romans 9:30-32 CEB
Thank You for this day Father. Thank You for my journey. I’m so grateful for all of the experiences I have been blessed to see and take part in each day. I want to be on the path that You intend Father. Please redirect me when I misstep. Please hold my tongue before I speak, so that the words I say reflect You and not the enemy. In Jesus’ name I pray to You. Amen.
Be more focused on your commitment to God and trusting in Him no matter what, and less focused on your title as a Christian. Our faith is our righteousness, not our fixation on trying to be right.
Questions of the Day
1. What do you think most non-Christians say about the average Christian?
2. When you visualize a “Christian” what do you see and hear?
3. Are you more concerned about heaven, hell, or living life as best as you possibly can?
4. What are you personally going through in life that you believe God will see you through?
