Natasha’s Daily Scripture, Prayer, and Reflection for 10.23.14

…you and all the people of Israel need to know that this man stands healthy before you because of the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene—whom you crucified but whom God raised from the dead. This Jesus is the stone you builders rejected; he has become the cornerstone! Salvation can be found in no one else. Throughout the whole world, no other name has been given among humans through which we must be saved.”

Acts of the Apostles‬ ‭4‬:‭10-12‬ CEB

Pray
Father You know my heart. I pray for discernment, strength, courage, and vision. I pray that I learn to immediately and consistently seek You in all things, and practice Your Son’s ways to navigate through life. In His name I pray to You, my source of all things good and great. Amen.

Reflection
I truly do want to be saved. There’s a part of me that is weak and gives in to the enemy’s tempting ways. When pressured I don’t aggressively and consistently seek out God, and turn to our Savior’s lessons to navigate my way out of circumstances. The Bible says that Jesus is the way to God.

This life is not about us, it’s about God. How are we living our lives, according to His expectations or ours?

Questions of the Day
1. How do you see your relationship with Jesus? God?
2. Do you see yourself as having two distinct relationships, one with God and one with Jesus, or one relationship where they both come together in your mind?
3. How do you view the Bible’s telling of Jesus, his life, healings, lessons, and commands?
4. How do you view Jesus? Do you view him as a man specially touched and called on by God? Do you view him as Savior? Messiah? God?
5. What do you think stops you from committing yourself 100% to God and Jesus?
6. What would you like to see change in your relationship with God and Jesus?
