I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want.

May I have internal peace to accept and learn from every circumstance as they unfold. Amen.
I have personally known and lived in need and in plenty. I’ve experienced the humbling reality of losing the vast majority of my personal possessions, and having to start anew. I’ve known hunger, desperation, confusion, extreme frustration and depression. I’ve walked through darkness and in light. I know the feeling of not having to want, and on the flip side I know the brutal reality of only having hope and faith to hold on.
My strength and resolve served as a mask in a way, where outsiders were clueless of what was taking place. My smile was all they would see, because that is all they could handle or tolerate. The goal is to be content during and after the storm, knowing that God has you always. He makes no mistakes. So while we’re going through the ups and downs, are we consistently praising Him and looking for the lesson to be learned? Or are we only focused on our circumstances?
