Natasha’s Daily Scripture, Prayer, and Reflection for 2.29.16

Scripture

Ephesians 1:11-14

Pray

Never will I stop believing in You Father. You have been here for me during the roughest and darkest of times, when the pain was so intense I could barely breathe, but then I saw Your Light, heard Your song, felt Your presence, and eventually I became whole again.

Thank You Father for never giving up on me even during those times when I threw my hands up in failure—-You always see what I don’t see, and through Your reassurance and guidance I always pull through the failure a winner in some way. Thank You. In Jesus’ name I humbly pray. Amen.

Reflection

You may be going through a major life storm. You may feel suffocated by life’s experiences and the lessons learned—and those you’re still struggling to learn. But know this, God hasn’t

abandoned you. If you can’t hear and feel Him, it’s not because He’s absent—its because you’re too blindsided by the chaos and noise around you that you can’t hear and feel Him, you can’t see your daily blessings. But they are there! He is there with you at all times!

My mom sent me today’s scripture as it’s worded. It touched my heart deeply. Read my special message tomorrow in honor of my mom, and see why I respect, value and love my mom—and why I’m so grateful to have her as my mom and in my life.

Lift

Your

Head

Up and…

Smile!

Scripture
Romans 12:4-5

Pray

Align me Lord with those servants who You want me to build with. Remove from my path those individuals who will only distract and deter me. Amen.

Reflection

We come together as one body in Christ, and individually we are parts of each other, depending on each other. You are only as strong as your weakest link. So put in the work each day, because while you’re looking around to identify the weakest link, it could very well be you.

Natasha’s Daily Scripture, Prayer, and Reflection for 2.23.16

Scripture

Romans 12:3

Pray

Thanking You for giving me more than I deserve. I’m humbly grateful Father. Amen.

Reflection

Our human flaw of delusions of grandeur, can be tied back to the story of Adam and Eve, the desire to gain insight beyond our comprehension, and feel as though we could handle seeing and knowing all that He does. We forget that we are His image and likeness but we are not Him. He is our creator and we are His creations. He is our Master and we are His servants. He is our Father and we our His children.

When we forget our role, our place, our job, we mess things up. God’s grace is not given because we do remarkable things. We don’t earn His grace. It is unmerited. He does it because He loves us. But because we somehow think we earn it we think too highly of ourselves and forget that what was given can easily be taken.

We must be humble and grateful each day. We are no better or no worse than the next person. We have no power or right to judge others by God’s laws. Stay in your lane and let God handle His business.

Natasha’s Daily Scripture, Prayer, and Reflection for 2.22.16

Scripture

1 John 4:1

Pray

Father I pray for discernment to see and differentiate real from false, truth from lies, light from dark, Your voice from that of the enemy’s.

Reflection

We have a tendency to gravitate to people who speak frequently and confidently of God and His Word. But how do we know if this person is a servant of God, or a servant of self–or worse, a servant of the enemy?

It reminds me of the movie The Devil’s Advocate starring Keanu Reeves, Al Pacino, and Charlize Theron. Al Pacino’s character was the devil, but Keanu Reeves’ character didn’t realize this until it was too late. Even though his wife, played by Charlize Theron, could discern the evil, Keanu’s character was blinded by words and material possessions.

When the truth was revealed to him he was so shocked and dismayed to realize how many people he had interacted with in life had actually been the devil in disguise. Each time he ate the proverbial apple that each of these individuals gave him, he had no clue that he was being lured in by the devil and losing his life and soul to evil.

That can happen to any of us. As humans, we are not immune to the enemy’s attacks and seductions.

You have to stay prayed up and you have to keep your eyes and ears tuned in to God’s voice and light—so you can distinguish Him from all others. We always need our armor on because we are always under attack. The enemy doesn’t take breaks, vacations, holidays, or sick days. We can’t afford to either.

My dad used to always tell me that the closer we get to God, the stronger our relationship with Him, the more the enemy attacks us. And let’s be clear, the enemy attacks us through our loved ones. It attacks our loved ones to break us down. Stay prayed up and don’t give in to the pressure.

Questions of the Day

1. What would you like to add to today’s prayer and/or reflection?

2. Share a time when the gift of discernment opened your eyes about a person who wasn’t being honorable.

3. What are your thoughts about people who use religion for personal gain, and how you think we can protect ourselves from these false prophets?

4. What is a prayer that you recite to protect yourself from the enemy’s attacks?

Natasha’s Daily Scripture, Prayer, and Reflection for 2.18.16

Scripture

2 Corinthians 5:7

Pray

Trusting You. Amen.

Reflection

The hardest part on this journey is trusting God and the process. God works in the background and we can’t see or fathom what He is making possible on our behalf. That is why we are works in progress. Keep praying for His molding.

Questions of the Day

1. What would you like to add to today’s prayer and/or reflection?

2. Share a time when you walked by faith and not sight. What happened? How did it make you feel? What have you learned from this experience?

Natasha’s Daily Scripture, Prayer, and Reflection for 2.17.16

Scripture 2 Corinthians 4:16-18 MSG

Pray

Father through all things I’m working on simply smiling, because what I don’t see is the work that You have already done in my favor. I want to smile with gratitude before the manifestation of my blessing has been made clear to me. I pray to always remember this. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Reflection

Each day we are blessed, even when we don’t recognize our blessings they are there, and their effects will last forever. So rather than waiting for the obvious to show gratitude, smile and be grateful for each day that you’re alive, and each day that you have to experience what life has to offer—even during the rough times, because even those are “small potatoes” to and for our Heavenly Father. So like Kirk Franklin’s song, just “SMILE”!

Questions of the Day

1. What would you like to add to today’s prayer and/or reflection?

2. Share your most recent testimony of God’s healing.

3. What “small potatoes” would you like to shrug off and smile about?

Natasha’s Daily Scripture, Prayer, and Reflection for 2.16.16

Scripture

Psalms 34:8

Pray

Father I know that if You can bring me to a situation, You can guide me through that same situation. Even in darkness I can find and embrace Your Light. Humbly I thank You Father. Amen.

Reflection

My mom forwarded today’s message to me. Over the past few weeks she has been consistently forwarding me some awesome scriptures and reflections. Thanks mom!

You may be going through some troubling times right now. You may even feel alone. But I challenge you to stop in silence, in the absence of your daily chaos, and just listen and feel for God’s presence. He’s there with you.

If you can’t sense Him, then you have sensory overload from all of the nonsense and clutter of the world. Tune those things out, disconnect from the “Matrix” (pun intended) and tune into God.

When you get on His frequency, take in His goodness—get your fill so that it encircles you like armor. Then allow that armor to protect you from the darkness in the world.

God’s loving Light is the only immunization that you need!

Questions of the Day

1. What would you like to add to today’s prayer and/or reflection?

Natasha’s Daily Scripture, Prayer, and Reflection for 2.11.16

Scripture
2 Corinthians 12:20-21

Pray

Cleanse my heart and mind Father. Steer me away from those who would pull me down to a level that would dishonor You. Touch my mind to not react and speak just because I have the power to do so, but rather let me listen to Your voice to guide me where I need to be in conversation and in my walk. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.

Reflection

The sin we commit must be repented and not repeated. We know what displeases God. He gives us the choice to do what is right or wrong in His eyes. We have the right to forgive or hold grudges, the right to praise or to curse, the right to fight or walk away, the right to be faithful or to cheat, the right to lie or be honest, to speak up or remain silent—what choices will you make?

Questions of the Day

1. What would you like to add to today’s prayer and/or reflection?

2. What are some of your biggest challenges as a believer in God, a Christian, a servant?

Natasha’s Daily Scripture, Prayer, and Reflection for 2.10.16

Scripture
2 Corinthians 12:9

Pray

I will keep my head up because I know that You are with me Lord.

Reflection

God never leaves us. He never takes a break or vacation. He is always with us, even when we make stupid mistakes or perform blatant acts of betrayal. He waits patiently for us to each day, consistently, choose Him and His ways.

While you’re staring at the trees in the forest and worried about how to make it through, consider walking by faith, knowing that God will see you through to the other side of that forest. We only remain lost when we think we are better navigators than Him.

Questions of the Day

1. What would you like to add to today’s prayer and/or reflection?

2. Please share your testimony of how God steered you through life’s forest (or a real one).

Natasha’s Daily Scripture, Prayer, and Reflection for 2.9.16

Scripture
Deuteronomy 30:16

Pray

Father You know me and my heart. You know when I’m going to slip before I do it. You know what I’m going to say before I utter the words. You know my thoughts, so you know the actions that I will take before they are made.

Please forgive me for what I’ve done in the past and what I might do today. I pray for the strength to resist the urge to speak and act in any way that is displeasing to You. I pray for discernment to see clearly the ways, intent, and meaning of others so that I don’t get caught up in their nonsense. I pray for peace within. Amen.

Reflection

No one said this journey would be easy. No one said being a Christian was a cakewalk. But it has been said countless times that it is all worth it. Keep your head up, your eyes focused, and your heart warm.

Questions of the Day

1. What would you like to add to today’s prayer and/or reflection?

Natasha’s Daily Scripture, Prayer, and Reflection for 2.8.16

Scripture

Psalms 37:4

Pray

Father thank You for another day. I praise You for my life, experiences, and the lessons learned, and the ones I’m still trying to learn. Thank You for being so patient with me. I know that I can be hardheaded. You know that I’m trying to be obedient. I’m trying Father. I humbly thank You for all that I have and all that I am. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Reflection

All that we need is made available by and through God. Why do we look elsewhere? I don’t know. I’m guilty of the same thing. I turn to people, things, gadgets, technology, everything but a consistent connection to God. All life, love, truth, validation, wealth, understanding, all things good and great, come from God. Praise Him.

Questions of the Day

1. What would you like to add to today’s prayer and/or reflection?

2. Please share your testimony of how God has changed your life, healed you, strengthened you, made the unclear clear.
