Colosssians 3:2 John 8:32
Thank You Father for another day. This blessing is not taken for granted. I’m humbly grateful.
Father today I ask for opportunities to study, share, and discuss Your Word with others. Not just with righteous believers but also with conditional believers and nonbelievers.
Let us read, see, hear, and feel the Truth–so that we might speak and live It, and be set free from our spiritual and mental bondage.
In Jesus’ name I humbly pray. Amen.
There isn’t an issue or problem that can’t be addressed by simply knowing God’s Word. You can pick up the Bible and find a parable, story, statement, or commandment, that addresses the issues in and of the world in which we live.
It is our interpretation of the Word that gets us in trouble. It is our struggle with understanding the difference between the spiritual context and the physical. It is our misunderstanding of the deeper meanings because in so many ways we can be quite shallow. It is our arrogance and foolishness in always wanting to be right, and thinking that we are, that oftentimes leaves us 100 percent wrong.
In the modern Christian “world” we have so many denominations and hundreds of translations of the Bible, with everyone thinking and believing that their way is right, that we don’t even realize that we’re walking around lost in the “forest” like the children of Israel.
It does not take an intermediary, such as a pastor or priest, to speak on your behalf to God–or to unpack His Word to you–you already have a special connection with Him, you just need to nurture, value, respect, and protect your relationship.
The small voice within you is God. Listen and speak with Him.
You are never too old to learn, to be a student. Wisdom comes from lessons learned.
The Truth is revealed to all of us but only those with a spiritual lens can see and embrace it for what it is.
So go grab your bound Bible, e-version, app, or audio-formatted Bible and get to studying!
