Natasha’s Daily Scripture, Prayer, and Reflection for 5.23.16

“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. They are justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.”

‭‭Romans‬ ‭3:23-24‬ ‭HCSB‬‬

Today was not earned by the efforts I made yesterday. Thank You Father for this blessing. Forgive me for the weakness I cling to that holds me back, builds up my doubt, forces out the harmful words, and dwells on fear and pain. Fill me with Your peace and calm, so that I might let go and release this weakness that hinders my growth. Forgive me Lord for my sins. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

We all have sinned, do sin, and for those reasons we need to stop placing ourselves above others—superior in our judgments, as though we have done and do no wrong. Even with our crosses, fish stickers, WWJD t-shirts, Bibles all over our homes, offices and cars—if we are not accepting, embracing, and loving ALL of God’s children, as Jesus did, then we fall short in all ways. In your “righteousness” you can actually be farther below those you look down upon.
