Natasha’s Daily Scripture, Prayer, and Reflection for 11.10.16

Matthew 6:34

Father You woke me today and I’m grateful. I’m blessed and I know it. I’m loved and I know it. I pray today for peace within. I pray for my brothers and sisters across my country and around the world, for they are in pain and filled with fear and frustration. Father You know what’s going on and You know what’s to come. I pray that You help us focus on being present, with open eyes, ears, minds, and hearts. I know that tomorrow is not promised, only You know what tomorrow brings, so I plan to make the most of today so that I don’t have any regrets tomorrow. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Today is overwhelming enough. Deal with what’s on your ‘plate’ today and don’t fixate and stress about tomorrow’s load. Farmers focus on this seasons’s crops, they don’t worry about next year. What are your tasks, issues, concerns, and fears for today? Deal with them today. Deal with what you can today. Don’t waste precious time fearing tomorrow. Tomorrow isn’t promised. Tomorrow you may not wake up on this side of life. So that means you lost your ‘today’. Let’s not lose our today. Tomorrow will come or it won’t. Live for today.
