Natasha’s Daily Scripture, Prayer, and Reflection for 1.3.17

Scripture

Psalm 51:2-3

Prayer

Thank You for this day Father. It is by Your grace, a gift to me, that I am humbly grateful for. Father, You know my sins. You know the mean things that I’ve done and said. You know my heart Father. Please forgive me for all that I’ve said and done that does not reflect and honor You.

I am humbled and quick to agree with you about my sins. Father I pray that my heart is always warmed and tender toward Your voice. Cleanse me. Mold me. Guide me. Protect me from the waiting enemy. In Jesus’ name I pray to You. Amen.

Reflection

If you are not quick to admit your wrongs, and aren’t quick to repent and make right those wrongs, then you shouldn’t be surprised and outraged when others wrong you and are slow to fix the damage caused to you.

Stop asking God for grace when you won’t give grace to others. Hypocrite.

Stop asking God not to keep track of your transgressions, while you’re busy keeping a running list of everything negative that someone has done or said about you–yet, offended when they too keep a list on you.

Hypocrite.

You won’t ask God for forgiveness, repent, and refrain from committing the offense again. Yet you expect others to beg for your forgiveness, jump through ‘hoops’ to prove they are remorseful and aren’t still committing the offense, and then you even have the audacity to punish them subtly or worse, overtly, as though you have the right to be their judge. Which you don’t.

Hypocrite.

Our biggest sin is thinking and acting as though we are somehow God just because we are made in His image and likeness. Fools we are. We must stop this madness if we seek a life here and after in peace.
