Natasha’s Daily Scripture, Prayer, and Reflection for 1.4.17

Scripture

Colossians 3:12

Prayer

Father I opened my eyes today only because of You. Thank You Lord for Your loving grace. You know my heart. Touch it Father so that it will be warm and receptive to all people at all times.

Help me Father to be patient, meek, kind, considerate, gentle, and humble—even when someone isn’t treating me in the same manner. It’s not about them, it’s about me. It’s about my relationship with You, and what You expect of me. Help me Father. Mold me as You see fit. I praise You through my highs and my lows. Amen.

Reflection

It takes great strength to be loving to an unloving person, but oddly enough (and most importantly to consider) it takes more energy to be unloving and ugly acting. It zaps your energy when you’re acting a fool.

Have you looked at people who look like life clobbered them? They just look beat down by life?

 It’s because it has.

It could be that it’s because they have resisted the natural ebb and flow of life, or because they have just been so consumed with causing and wallowing in chaos, that the chaos has taken its toll on their mind, body, spirit, and soul—and it shows.

If you want peace you must bring peace. If you want kindness, give it. If you want the benefit of the doubt, you must give it. If you want unconditional love, pour it into someone else without an expectation of receiving it in return. That’s what unconditional means.

You have to be and represent what you want in return.

If your life is chaotic, look in the mirror.
