Natasha’s Daily Scripture, Prayer, and Reflection for 12.6.17

Hi Breaking Bread family!

Wow I can’t believe that it’s already Wednesday. Is it just me or do the days and months seem to be flying by this year?

We’re already in the month of December and as I look back over my monthly and yearly goals I was disappointed that I didn’t achieve many of the things that I wanted to accomplish this year. But I had to stop and “check” myself because after reflecting over my experiences this year I’m foolish to be disappointed. I’ve achieved a lot of things and overcome some obstacles that many would find insurmountable (at least in the context of the short period of time I had before me), and I should embrace and celebrate that fact. I also have so much to be grateful for and I would be a fool to not acknowledge these things as blessings, not from man but from God.

I picked up my phone and after sending my good morning text to my mom and sister, I noticed that I had a text from my friend Juanita. The text was a spiritual message written by Joel Osteen and when I say it was right on time, it was definitely right on time. Today I share this message with you in hopes of helping you or someone you know who is struggling with God’s timing in relation to your timetable and deadlines.

Please read this message and share it with others. May we all have greater comfort, less anxiety, and reinforcement of our faith. Have a super awesome day family!

Trusting God’s Timing

My times are in your hands…

(Psalm 31:15, NIV)

In life, oftentimes we are waiting for something; waiting for a dream to come to pass, waiting to meet the right person, waiting for a problem to turn around. When things aren’t happening as fast as we would like, it’s easy to get frustrated. But you have to realize that the moment you prayed, God established a set time to bring the promise to pass.

God has a set time for your opportunity. There is a set time for that problem to turn around, a set time for your healing, your promotion, your breakthrough. It may be tomorrow, or next week, or five years from now. But when you understand the time has already been set, it takes all the pressure off. You won’t live worried, wondering when this is ever going to happen. You’ll relax and enjoy your life knowing that the promise has already been scheduled and your answer is on the way!

Father, I choose to trust in Your timing. I trust that You have my best in mind. I believe that You are working behind the scenes on my behalf. Thank You for ordering my steps and leading me in the life of blessing You have in store for me in Jesus’ name. Amen.
