Natasha’s Daily Scripture, Prayer, and Reflection for 1.18.18

Scripture

In the thirty-ninth year of his reign Asa was afflicted with a disease in his feet. Though his disease was severe, even in his illness he did not seek help from the lord, but only from the physicians. Then in the forty-first year of his reign Asa died and rested with his ancestors.

2 Chronicles 16:12-13

Pray

Father I have faith in You and Your ultimate ability to heal me of all afflictions no matter how big or small. I turn to You for my healing. I pray to You for all of my needs. When I am ill by man’s definition and mortal mind’s false reality, I know in You I am whole and healthy. With You Father I know that sickness, disease, and death are lies as You are perfect and never sick, never stricken with disease, and live eternally. So as the perfect reflection of You I am never sick, never suffering with disease and I will never die- but will transition from this level of existence to another one.

Father I pray that when Your children encourage me to run to a physician every time something appears to be wrong, that You touch their hearts and minds and reveal the truth that You are my solution. You are my medicine. You are my healer. You are my mender. You are my restorer.

Your son Jesus showed us how to heal ourselves in Your truth and Word. He showed us how to heal the sick, raise the dead, and cast out demons. The disciples, once they became believers were able to heal. Yet we doubt our ability. We doubt that by turning to You we can be healed of any affliction. I don’t doubt You Lord. I have seen and experienced healing that people including doctors said could only be miracles- and I know what You can do.

Keep my mind and heart focused on You Lord. Let me to not stray when tempted by non-believers or conditional believers to turn to man, to physicians first, and not to You. In Your name I pray. Amen.

Reflection

Asa was afflicted with a foot disease that he chose to rely on physicians to heal him of- instead of God- the same God he claimed an allegiance, the same God he claimed to love and worship fully; the same God he claimed he trusted and believed in completely- yet when in pain and once fear took over him, he chose to turn to man first and not God.

We must learn to turn to God and listen for Him to guide us- not lean unto our own understanding. Trust Him in all you do throughout your walk in life- and see where He takes you. God bless all of you.

Love always,

Natasha
