Natasha’s Daily Scripture, Prayer, and Reflection for 3.22.18

“GOD made my life complete when I placed all the pieces before him. When I cleaned up my act, he gave me a fresh start. Indeed, I’ve kept alert to GOD ’s ways; I haven’t taken God for granted. Every day I review the ways he works, I try not to miss a trick. I feel put back together, and I’m watching my step. GOD rewrote the text of my life when I opened the book of my heart to his eyes.

You stick by people who stick with you, you’re straight with people who’re straight with you, You’re good to good people, you shrewdly work around the bad ones. You take the side of the down-and-out, but the stuck-up you take down a peg.

Suddenly, GOD, your light floods my path, GOD drives out the darkness. I smash the bands of marauders, I vault the high fences. What a God! His road stretches straight and smooth. Every GOD -direction is road-tested. Everyone who runs toward him Makes it.”

2 Samuel 22:21-31 MSG

I am grateful for my life Lord, for the good and bad, for the successes and failures, for those in my life who are committed and even for my betrayers. I’m grateful for the humble and the arrogant, for the honest and even for the habitual liars, and for those who are genuinely remorseful as well as those who feel entitled to continue their destructive ways.

I’m grateful because I’m here to see, hear, feel and experience these things and these people. I get the opportunity to interact and learn.

I’m grateful for another day to experience all that is needed to make me stronger, braver, and wiser. I am grateful for my life Father. I’m trying to get out of Your way. Thank You for Your patience. Thank You. Amen.

Isn’t it amazing the second chances we have been given. What about the countless ones thereafter? I can’t help but to smile, even through my guilt, because I know how awesome God truly is to see in me something worthy of multiple chances to make things right.

Life may feel like a vacuum at times, seemingly sucking you down a narrow tube, but instead of showing and expressing dread let’s work at showing and expressing our gratitude. God is allowing us to experience life to the fullest, not cut short, and definitely not a dull or boring moment. Be grateful.

Here’s part two of a video message on “Gratitude” from Pastor Craig Groeschel, the founder and senior pastor of Life Church. If yesterday’s message and video moved you, then this one definitely should. Enjoy.
