Natasha’s Daily Scripture, Prayer, and Reflection for 9.12.18

Scripture

What? Know you not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which you have of God, and you are not your own? For you are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.

I Corinthians 6:19-20

Reflection

Today declare that no more will you make excuses for being average, less than average, or way below average. No more excuses for eating junk and not working out; not honoring God and the temple you claim to love. Be the best you, that you are!

Prayer

Father thank you for opening my eyes to see that my body as my temple does not belong to me, it’s Yours; just like my mind, spirit and soul. Forgive me for not taking care of it as You expect.

I apologize for not doing everything it takes to put only the best in it so that I may thrive off the energy.

Forgive me for not keeping my body conditioned at the level of excellence that you created. Amen.

Love always,

Natasha

    • Thank you for asking. What I realized is that I have been sharing through this blog since 2010 and a previous blog since 2009 and I wanted to assess my growth over these years. Looking back I can see where I’ve grown and matured, and the ways God has blessed me. I can also see the hard lessons that I learned and the ones that I still haven’t learned (because I’m forced to repeat them). We continue to pray for things but never consider in what ways we may be blocking the blessings. For many people they can refer to a journal for self-reflection. For the past 9 years, this blog has been my personal journal. So I wanted to spend this year looking back, reflecting, analyzing, and when appropriate I want to amend prayers and reflections to align with my current thinking or experiences. If I’m still struggling with the same issues from years ago then I need to look within for the “why” and the answers to push past and rise above these issues. Did that answer your question? I hope so. Thank you again for the thoughtful question! -Natasha

      • Yes it did and what a wonderful idea. We all need to look back and assess our growth to make sure we are still going in the correct direction. Thank you for your explanation.
