Natasha’s Daily Scripture, Prayer, and Reflection for 10.26.18

Scripture

Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good.
Romans 12:9 NIV

Reflection

Always strive to do what’s right even when it’s easier to do wrong. Always strive to be loving even when it’s easier to be unkind. Always strive to be honest even when a little “white lie” seems acceptable.

Always walk away from a situation that you know God had nothing to do with creating…and you can always tell because God would never place you in harms way, even as a way of learning a “lesson”. If you risk life, love, freedom, and piece of mind then that’s not God.

We all have choices…good or evil…what choice will you make?

Prayer

Father touch me, warm me, fill me, and protect me from harm. Let Your light be my beacon through darkness, let Your love overrun and destroy all evil. I pray to always turn to You Father, even when I don’t know where my next step will take me. I hope to always trust that Your love will never lead me astray. I love and honor You Father. Amen.

Love you always,

Natasha

Natasha’s Daily Scripture, Prayer, and Reflection for 10.25.18

Scripture

Love and faithfulness meet together; righteousness and peace kiss each other.

Psalm 85:10

Reflection

Even if you aren’t a woman, the qualities of a Proverbs 31 woman should be within you and should be something you seek to find in others, especially the woman you want to be your wife.

There are 21 verses that describe the type of woman, the type of person who is selfless, hardworking, determined, never complaining or making excuses for failure, never lazy, takes care of house, home, and family, and walks upright. This person is creative, an entrepreneur, makes a way out of no way, and sees beyond the trees while others are stuck focusing on the entrance to the forest.

Who is virtuous?

Can you have love without faithfulness, or faithfulness without love?
Are we hung up on words and not their meanings and sentiments?

I love you” is tossed around so casually like a pair of shoes, but what does love truly mean to you? What does faithfulness truly mean to you? What does loyalty, virtue, and grace truly mean to you? People fall in and out of love like a yo-yo diet. One day they love you, the next day they are cheating on you, the next day they are bad-mouthing you, and then the next day they are saying, “let’s try and make this work” and I ask, who said this is love?

To protect someone means to make sure no harm comes to them, by you or others…but how can you protect someone when you’re busy watching your own back? How can you protect someone when you are more concerned with covering your tracks? How can you love and protect someone when you are only concerned with yourself and what you’re getting out of a situation?

We can quote phrases, scripture, passages, and verses about amazing and awesome people from the Bible, but if we aren’t living by example and emulating these great leaders, then what’s the purpose of talking about them? Your name and story will never be a part of the great Book, but your life and how you live it may be the only Bible and representation of Christ that some may see. Are we being the best example of Christians, of God’s children, that we can be?

Every day let’s strive to and do our part to be better and do better. I strive to be that virtuous woman every single day. I know she’s me!

Prayer

Father I pray for peace within. I pray for clarity and vision. I pray that the love I have and want is met with and joined in an everlasting embrace with faithfulness. I pray to always know, remember, express, and stand firmly in who I am as Your child. Let my words and actions always be clear, intentional, and never to cause harm.

Let me always turn to Jesus’s example of how to walk in Christ; let me always have the courage to enter battle like Joshua and Caleb; let me be loyal like Ruth to Naomi; let me be as nurturing as the women who cared for and protected baby Moses; let me have discernment and the conviction and fortitude of Deborah, and let me live and always see the importance of being a Proverbs 31 virtuous woman. In Your Son’s name I humbly pray. Amen.

Love,

Natasha

Natasha’s Daily Scripture, Prayer, and Reflection for 10.24.18

Scripture

For everything in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—comes not from the Father but from the world.

1 John 2:16 NIV

Reflection

God gives us all choices. We have a choice to do right or wrong, turn left or keep straight, lie or be honest, cheat or remain faithful and loyal, leave or stay, curse or pray, hit or walk away, have protected sex or risk misery and pain, be one religious faith or choose another, seek revenge or let God handle things…we have choices.

It seems that loyalty, faithfulness and dedication are words of satire and are often one-sided labels meant for the other person we’re involved with but never for us. We want people to be loyal, honest, trustworthy, trusting, faithful, dedicated, and devoted to us and our relationships with them, but we don’t seem to have it in us to give 100% of the same to them in return. What ever happened to full reciprocity? What happened to being honorable? Have we increasingly downgraded the quality of our moral fabric?

Have we decided to remain a selfish people instead of maturing in our selfLESSness?

Have we celebrated and embraced a culture of “keeping our options open”, being “players”, being “Married But Available”, and not “bringing sand to the beach” rather than the ideal of monogamy?

If you want to live freely to do, go, say, and live as you want with whomever you want, then why pretend to commit yourself to a relationship when you can simply openly date several people, and explain to them your intentions to not commit or practice monogamy? Why must there always be lies, games, and frequent moments of deceit? Why must we say one thing yet do another? Why is there a thrill in the chase—in the risk of getting caught?

Where’s the honor and dignity?

Look closely at yourself in the mirror. Are you the type of man or woman you would want your child to date and marry? Do you treat men/women the way you would want your son/daughter to be treated?

Let us be the change we want to see in the world…starting TODAY!

Remember that “…the sins of the father will be revisited upon his son…” this applies to daughters and mothers also! Let’s think less of self and more of others, and consider what Jesus would do and say if he saw us?

Prayer

Father I want to thank You. Thank You for showing and teaching me the difference between love and lust, and the difference between honor and pride.

Father thank You for filling my cup that it runneth over in love and clears my eyes to see rightly the love for one without a desire to lust for another. I want to walk straight on the path You have set before me, not to stray in moments of weakness and temptation; but to stride with confidence that everything I need You have already provided.

I walk in confidence that the person who You have placed in my life to love I have no desire to stray from, no desire to seek comfort, admiration or praise elsewhere, and no desire to seek affection, ego stroking, and understanding from anyone but the person I love and respect. I am more than satisfied where my heart and feet are, and have no intentions or expectations of allowing my heart and feet to rest anywhere else with anyone else.

It is because of You and my devotion to You that I have peace within, acceptance of who I am and what I can do, confidence in my ability to love and be loved wholly, satisfaction in where I have come from and where I see myself going, and that in matters of the heart and flesh I only need and want to be with one person. It is because of You I am pleased with falling in and staying in love with one person; committed, dedicated, faithful, honest, open, considerate, trustworthy and trusting of that one person.

If ever I shift in my thinking due to temptation, frustration, disappointment, dismay, or confusion, and I go against Your plan for me, please steer me back on course Father for I never want to disappoint You. I want to always move forward never backwards.

I always want to make progress not cause my own setbacks. I want to live in the present with hopes for the future, not dwell in the past of what once was or could have been. I want to fail from trying my best and missing the mark, not from a lack of motivation or care. So help me Father to remain focused on my mission in and for Your Kingdom, and also in my personal love life. In Jesus’ name I humbly pray. Amen.

Natasha’s Daily Scripture, Prayer, and Reflection for 10.23.18

Scripture

I am the Alpha and the Omega, saith the Lord God, who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.

Revelation 1:8

Reflection

No matter where we are, what we’re doing, and what we’re going through—God is there and no one can separate us from His love. Turn to Him to have revealed the truths of life.

Prayer

Father You are the beginning and the end, the first and the last, the past, present and future. You are my everything. Father I thank You because when I can’t count on anyone or anything to be what they appear, I can always count on You.

Father I am praying for Your comforting touch to see me through. The only truth I need comes directly from You Lord. There is no other truth, no other light, no other answer, and no other way. Thank You for Your constant presence in my life. Thank You for blessing me every single second of every day. In Your name I pray. Amen.

Bless you all and have a beautiful evening.

Natasha’s Sunday Reflection: If You Like Living in Ignorance Then Don’t Read This

Some of us get caught up in the “flesh” and we’re more concerned with worldly affairs than the matters of the heart.

The flesh is not truthful, honorable, right, or pure.

We can be obsessed with self and because of that we oftentimes miss the big picture and can’t see the lessons before us. We don’t even recognize how toxic our self-righteousness is, especially when we use it to judge and attack others. When we’re walking around consumed by the flesh we’re too blind to see that there’s no truth, honor, righteousness, or purity in our thoughts and actions, because we don’t see that what we do and say is not of God—it is not what Moses or Jesus taught.

It’s our warped approach at getting what we think we deserve.

Jesus was and is concerned with our hearts. He was sent to be a disruptive force, to fulfill the Old Testament prophecy, to divide truth from fiction, and to establish clear lines and expectations—NOT to force anyone to listen and believe. Jesus NEVER judged and damned someone for not following and believing, yet so-called Christians today walk around holier-than-thou judging and condemning people to damnation as though God gave them the power and authority to do so.

God doesn’t need to force you to be truthful, honorable, right and pure—He gives us a choice. He looks at our heart. He knows we are weak and troubled. His grace gives us opportunities to do and be better. Those who choose to be the opposite of the qualities and principles that represent Him, deal with the life hereafter based on that understanding.

So stop trying to be everyone’s judge. Stop playing Jesus and God. You have your own role and responsibilities. You have your own obstacles to overcome and sins to avoid (and atone for). You are not blameless and flawless.

Stop parading around in your self-righteousness trying to force people to convert to your ways, thinking, practices, and religious beliefs. Attacking people for thinking and living differently is not a lesson from Jesus’s teachings. You never read anywhere that Moses dragged his people out of Egypt. Anyone who willingly wanted to leave could come, and anyone who wanted to stay could do so. It was always about choice.

Jesus never forced anyone to believe and follow Him. Never. He never harassed and insulted people for their shortcomings or their sins. Jesus ticked off those in power, the elitists, the zealots, the teachers of the law, the so-called experts. He held them to the standards they claimed to uphold. He revealed their hypocrisy. But even then, He never told them to follow Him or be prepared for hell.

Jesus never attacked, assaulted or killed someone in His name or in God’s. We don’t have one account of Him ever putting His hands on someone in a violent way. Yet look at us, thousands of years later and we think we have the right to do all of these things because we call ourselves Christians.

People parading around with picket signs and banners of judgment, telling complete strangers that they are damned to hell for their beliefs and practices. We see so-called Christians shooting and bombing buildings and people, all in the name of God—when actually that’s just the devil manipulating your weak minds and flesh. The devil is the enemy and it uses your weaknesses against you in hopes of pulling you farther from God, yet convincing you it’s bringing you closer to God. What a wicked game it plays.

The enemy loves to destroy nations, communities and families. Consider how it attacks the family….

Those of you who are married and don’t realize how weak your flesh really is, consider this: do you find yourself nitpicking what your spouse does and says? Do you hold them to outrageously high standards or constantly raise the standards after they reach them? Are you holding grudges, spiteful, and vindictive? Are you constantly badmouthing them to other people? Do you benefit from their contributions to the family and household, yet tell them (and outsiders) that they could do more and better?

That’s you operating out of your flesh. That’s you being the enemy’s pawn in a game you won’t win if you keep giving in to its manipulative ways.

Stop tearing down your spouse for not being perfect in your eyes. Stop comparing your “yard” to someone else’s. Stop comparing your spouse to someone else. Stop holding them to standards that even you don’t meet consistently or at all. No one is perfect. No one can hit that 100% mark each and every time. We all fall short more times than we make it.

If any athlete could make every shot, score every touchdown, win every race then there would be no need for competition, there would be no need for a team.

Your marriage is a team effort.

Each person pulls their weight and then you’re to come together and share the load, pulling together the weight that is too heavy for one to bear.

Don’t attack and judge your spouse for not having the financial, social or physical capabilities that they once had or that you wish they had but they fall short of achieving.

Do you possess all of these abilities and do you consistenly meet those standards?

If not, be silent and supportive. If you do possess all of those abilities then why don’t you do something productive like help pull some of the load so that your spouse isn’t doing all or most of it alone. You want to benefit from being a part of the team, you want the championship ring, but you think it can be accomplished while riding on the bench or pacing the sidelines. There’s no true success in a stagnant environment.

When you look at your spouse and what they do each day, ask yourself these questions:

  • Are they making an effort to protect and provide for your family?
  • What is their heart showing you?

Focus on that and let the trappings of the “flesh” go. The flesh is not truthful, honorable, right, or pure. The flesh can lead you to what looks good on the outside but is pure rot on the inside. The flesh can lead you away from what could be heaven and lure you to absolute hell. The grass is greener in the other yard because they fertilize, water, cut, and care for the yard. What are you doing to and for your yard? You get what you give!

Love always,
~Natasha

Natasha’s Daily Scripture, Prayer, and Reflection for 10.18.18

Scripture

And he came into all the region round about the Jordan, preaching the baptism of repentance unto remission of sins; as it is written in the book of the words of Isaiah the prophet, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Make ye ready the way of the Lord, Make his paths straight. Every valley shall be filled, And every mountain and hill shall be brought low; And the crooked shall become straight, And the rough ways smooth; And all flesh shall see the salvation of God.

Luke 3:3-6

Reflection

Every twist and turn, bump and dip, God has the power and the grace to make all things straight, smooth, and level. When you’re lost, God will show you the path out. Every day we must demonstrate our faith in Him, and His ability to meet our needs and exceed our expectations. We must thank Him for all of our blessings, even the ones that we haven’t received yet.

Think about the small things that are actually huge when you no longer have use of them—like the sense of smell, taste, sight, hearing, and touch; thank Him for the ones you actively have use of, and thank Him for the ones that are heightened as they make up for the ones you no longer have full use of. They are all gifts from our Father.

You may not have money to pay your bills, but thank God for providing for you. Thank Him for those coins you ran across in your home, car, on the bus, or on the street. Thank Him for the gift card you forgot about, that made it possible for you to buy food, gas, or toiletries.

Thank Him for touching the heart of your debt collector, who opts to accept payment arrangements with you, rather than dragging you down the debtor’s path of shame, ridicule, and torment.

Whatever you do, don’t take for granted God’s gifts to you.

Don’t grow an attitude of passive expectance, where you don’t think you have a role in this blessing besides receiving His gifts. If you owe money to someone, don’t just say, “God’s got this” and then don’t take the steps to contact the person you owe the debt, make payment arrangements, offer a good faith payment of a lower amount, paying off the debt as more money comes in by God’s favor.

Our Father doesn’t do laziness. You have to be a hard working and diligent steward in His Kingdom. You can’t walk around with your hand out like a spoiled child. You must work. You must push yourself to the threshold, and then keep pushing.

At the same time, God doesn’t look favorably upon those of His children who show no grace to others, but expect to receive it from Him. If someone owes a debt to you, show compassion. Remember those people and companies you have and still owe money to—what would you pray that they would do if you had difficulties paying them on time or at all?

Don’t forget, to receive a blessing we must be a blessing. Life is a constant cycle. What we put in it we get out of it. If you’re late paying bills, guess what? Someone is going to be late paying you. If you make a habit of only paying a fraction of a bill, don’t be surprised when your paycheck is short. When you don’t tip your server adequately, don’t be surprised that you get mediocre service elsewhere. It is a cycle.

God’s always doing His part, but we must do ours also if we expect to see the fruits of our labor, and to be prepared for the bounty of blessings that He has planned for us. So why don’t you focus this week on doing your part to make the cycle of life work not only for yourself but your fellow brothers and sisters.

Do your part to make those crooked paths straight, to raise those deep valleys, and lower those mountains and hills flat.

Prayer

Last night Father Your message came through loud and clear, guiding me to Zechariah 4:7. I pray for my mountains to be flattened to nothingness. I want to see clearly, even with obstacles in my way. I want to see through them, because they are not Your reality, so they can’t possibly be mine. I’m claiming this victory today Lord; in Jesus’ name I humbly and sincerely pray. Amen.

I love each and every one of you, and pray that you have an awesomely blessed day. God bless you. Be a blessing to others!

Love,

Natasha

Natasha’s Daily Scripture, Prayer, and Reflection for 10.16.18

Scripture

And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full. And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awake him, and say unto him, Master, carest thou not that we perish?

And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. And he said unto them, Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith? And they feared exceedingly, and said one to another, What manner of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?

Mark 4:37-41

Reflection

Sit quietly and let the storm pass, rather than worry how it will affect you. If you truly believe that God is your all-in-all, your protector, and your guide—then have faith in Him and in His Son, Jesus, to lead the way.

If you’re going to walk in fear not faith, and worry instead of standing firm in your convictions, then why continue to pray to God? If you’re consistently in prayer, then why be fearful or worried? You can’t straddle the fence. You can’t live in both realms. Either you are faithful or fearful. Choose.

Repeat this to yourself, aloud or silently:

I can’t straddle the fence. I can’t live in both realms of faith and fear. Either I’m faithful or fearful. Choose one!

Prayer

Father, quiet me when I begin to utter fear-based words, and when thoughts of fear begin to surface in my mind. Show me how to stop, relax, release, and not be concerned with troubled waters— for they don’t last long, and are never a sign that You aren’t with me. I want to be more like Jesus. I want to rest during the storms that take place in my life. I want the peace and surety that all is well, even when the mind and eyes see otherwise. I thank You now for these blessings Father. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Lovingly I send this message that it may radiate like sunshine through you. I really needed this message today. I woke from a fear-based dream to have those fears linger for several moments. I prayed to relieve the anxiety. Throughout the day I will look to this scripture and message, and recite this prayer whenever doubt rises up and fear tries to consume me. I hope that today’s message helps someone.

God bless you all!

Natasha

Natasha’s Daily Scripture, Prayer, and Reflection for 10.15.18

Scripture

But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.

1 Corinthians 15:10

Reflection

Love unconditionally. Yes, that means that we’re not to place conditions on how to love or be loved. Of course that doesn’t mean to accept abuse of any form. What it means is to love despite the differences, shortcomings, and flaws of others; to love knowing that we too are different, fall short, and are flawed. It’s to love as God loves us, as Jesus demonstrated in His daily walk.

We must be free to pray constantly and consistently—which means, not just at church or when we need something, but to have a daily conversation with God where moments throughout your day you pause to give thanks, ask for direction, and praise Him for both the big and little victories in your day.

A lot of us have a distorted view of work and the labor involved, especially those of us who are goal-driven. We should all work in honor of God and not with the focus of working harder and smarter than others—it’s not about them, it’s about Him and your relationship with Him. It’s about your obedience to Him. Through Him all is possible.

Be sure to seek God in all that you do. Ask God to go before you, to guide you, to speak through you, to realign your thinking, and protect you from you!

Put God first in your life and everything and everyone that is meant for you will be provided by Him. God’s grace is always with you. It is not your will, but His.

Prayer

Father thank You for Your loving grace. I am what I am because of You. I bless others because You first blessed me. When life gets rough, and there doesn’t seem to be a smooth passageway ahead, I know that You will always help me get through those rough patches. When I’m tired and don’t feel like giving it my all, I can turn to You Lord for strength to see my way through to the end. When there doesn’t seem to be an answer, I know to look closer, and You will always provide a solution. When one door closes, You will open another one. When that door closes, You will open a window. Thank You Father for always providing and guiding me. I love You Father. I praise You Lord. Amen.

Lovingly,

Natasha

Natasha’s Daily Scripture, Prayer, and Reflection for 10.12.18

Scripture

Paul, a bondservant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated to the gospel of God which He promised before through His prophets in the Holy Scriptures, concerning His Son Jesus Christ our Lord, who was born of the seed of David according to the flesh, and declared to be the Son of God with power according to the Spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead.

Through Him we have received grace and apostleship for obedience to the faith among all nations for His name, among whom you also are the called of Jesus Christ; To all who are in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Romans 1:1-7

Reflection

It is a daily struggle to be obedient to God. We barely make it through the day obeying man’s laws.

How many of you were speeding today, texting while driving, didn’t yield to a pedestrian, made an illegal turn, or are driving without adequate (or any) car insurance? How many of you ‘fudged’ facts or figures on your income tax return or other financial document? How many of you claimed to have more on-the-job experience on a resume than you actually have?

Yet, we wonder why we struggle and fail countless times trying to be obedient to God’s laws.

It is a daily walk.

Don’t stop trying, don’t give in to the “liar’s” words of temptation that claim it’s better on the other side. It’s never good being on the wrong side of God and Jesus. There is no better than our Father and His Son; and no place better to be than with them.

So whatever wrongs you did and will do today, work to do right tomorrow, and the next day, and the next. It is your consistent effort, your desire, and commitment that keeps you in God’s grace and care.

Prayer

Father thank You for Your grace. Thank You for Your Son. Thank You for my life, my experiences, and the people that You have and will place in my life. Thank You for showing me the genuine, the light, the truth, and the way through Your Son so that I can strive to be like Him and to be closer to You.

Thank You for revealing people’s true self to me so that I may not lose focus or be dismayed when they aren’t the caliber of people I assumed them to be. I want to be obedient Father. I want to be totally and completely devoted to You and Jesus.

Continue molding me Lord, and thank You for not giving up on me especially in moments when even I think I’m an irretrievable lamb lost deep in the forest. Father, in Jesus’ name I humbly and sincerely pray to You. Amen.

Have a wonderful day!

Love,

Natasha

Natasha’s Daily Scripture, Prayer, and Reflection for 10.10.18

Scripture

In that night did God appear unto Solomon, and said unto him, Ask what I shall give thee.

And Solomon said unto God, Thou hast shewed great mercy unto David my father, and hast made me to reign in his stead. Give me now wisdom and knowledge, that I may go out and come in before this people: for who can judge this thy people, that is so great?

And God said to Solomon, Because this was in thine heart, and thou hast not asked riches, wealth, or honour, nor the life of thine enemies, neither yet hast asked long life; but hast asked wisdom and knowledge for thyself, that thou mayest judge my people, over whom I have made thee king:

Wisdom and knowledge is granted unto thee; and I will give thee riches, and wealth, and honour, such as none of the kings have had that have been before thee, neither shall there any after thee have the like.

2 Chronicles 1: 7,8,10-12

Reflection

This is a late night post, so that before you go to sleep you have God on your mind and in your heart; and that when you wake up He is the first thing you think of to get your day started right. Tonight ask yourself what you truly need in your life. What do you need to be a better person?

Pray to God for what you need to be a better ambassador. God knows what is in your heart. Your heart will always reflect your truest self. Hopefully it also reflects our heavenly Father. Be the example you want to see in others, the example you know God expects to see consistently.

Have a blessed evening and be prepared to begin tomorrow with a fresh start and a new outlook on life.

Prayer

Father touch my heart that I may be as humble as Solomon. Bless me Lord with what I need in order to be a better ambassador for You and Your Kingdom. I thank You now for Your blessings. Amen.

Lovingly,

Natasha

Natasha’s Daily Scripture, Prayer, and Reflection for 10.9.18

Scripture

I will break down your stubborn pride and make the sky above you like iron and the ground beneath you like bronze.

Leviticus 26:19

Reflection

Don’t be so full of pride that you refuse to ask for or receive help. Don’t be so full of pride that you stubbornly live within yourself and never live freely in the world.

You cannot hide from God.

You can’t hide your fears, disappointments, anger, frustration, pain, sorrow, resentment, pride, love, joy, happiness, desires, envy, jealousy, greed, contentment, irritation, goals, dreams, or ideas. So stop trying to be something and someone you’re not, with God and with the rest of the world.

Open up, reveal yourself, and humbly ask the Lord to make you whole. Ask God to make the crookedness in your life straight, the bumpiness smooth, the torn mended, and ask for help to be all that you can be.

Prayer

Father thank You for making the necessary adjustments in my life, even those that caused me discomfort. Thank You for chipping away at my rough sides and anointing me so that my heart may soften to Your molding. Father I do not want to be stubborn, prideful, arrogant, or bitter. Touch me Lord. In areas and ways that I displease You, make me right and whole. In Your name I pray. Amen.

Lovingly,

Natasha

Natasha’s Daily Scripture, Prayer, and Reflection for 10.8.18

Scripture

Behold, I will make you small among the nations; you shall be utterly despised. The pride of your heart has deceived you, you who live in the clefts of the rock, in your lofty dwelling, who say in your heart, Who will bring me down to the ground? Though you soar aloft like the eagle, though your nest is set among the stars, from there I will bring you down, declares the Lord.

Obadiah 1:2-4

Reflection

Never get too full of yourself. Never get comfortable enough to say, “I did this“, when the truth is, God is your source, your knowledge and wisdom, and the reason you have your many gifts and talents. Your declaration should always be that you have something or did something because of God’s will and grace.

We all need a reminder that it’s not all about us. It’s about God and our service to and for Him.

Your material riches are God-given, and just as He gives He can take away. So be sure to give freely of your time, money, and other resources to those that lack what you have. Don’t be so quick to say, “I did it, so they need to go out and get theirs on their own like I did!” God has many ways to snatch you from your high-placed nest, and rest you at the same level or below the very people you looked down upon.

Remember that you get what you give!

Enjoy your day, and work these last several hours at your place of employment like it is Friday…give it your all, focusing more on doing an excellent job than staring at the clock waiting to leave.

There are millions of people without jobs, thousands would gladly take your position. So work like you are honored to have it! I don’t care if you have given notice or were given notice, let your last moments be some of your best!

Prayer

Father free me from being prideful, greedy, envious, spiteful, arrogant, vain, superficial, and a lover of money, power, and material possessions. Keep me humble Lord. I know that what I possess in this world is by Your doing and Your blessings. When I forget my place, and refuse to walk righteously, it is Your will that grounds me and snatches me back down to the place of humbleness. Thank You Father. Amen.

Love,

Natasha

Natasha’s Daily Scripture, Prayer, and Reflection for 10.5.18

Scripture

I thank my God, making mention of you always in my prayers, hearing of your love and faith which you have toward the Lord Jesus and toward all the saints, that the sharing of your faith may become effective by the acknowledgment of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus. For we have great joy and consolation in your love, because the hearts of the saints have been refreshed by you, brother.

Philemon 1:4-7

Reflection

Philemon speaks of his love and faith in the passages referenced above. How deep and how great is your love for God and His Son, Jesus Christ? How faithful are you to them, to God’s plan and His purpose for you? How faithful are you in your walk to be more like Jesus?

We all stumble, falter, and forget our promise to be Christ-like. I too, must watch what I’m thinking and the words that I speak. I can say something that I know I wouldn’t say in church, in front of many of my elders (especially my grandmothers, when they were still alive), or even in mixed company. So why would I allow myself to speak and think such negative things that are the polar opposite of Christ?

Every day we must fight the “liar” who says, “it’s okay this time” but as soon as things go wrong, the “liar” then says, “uh oh you’re gonna get it now, God isn’t going to forgive you for that…this one is a biggie!”

We must tune out the “liar” and every time something negative comes to mind we must stop and say, “shut up. You’re a liar!” and then thank God for protecting your thoughts and deterring you from speaking negatively.

For what we think and speak about we bring about, it is the natural flow of life. Let’s focus on being positive, being a blessing to others, so that when we receive our blessings we don’t have a tinge of guilt inside from the moments prior to receiving our gift that we purposely erred in our walk.

Prayer

Father what more could be said to express my appreciation for all that You have, are, and will do for me, than to simply but humbly say, Thank You!

Thank You for providing gifts such as the Bible; the exemplar—Your Son, Jesus; leaders anointed by You since the beginning of time, whose stories are told in Your holy book; and Your protecting angels that whisper in my ear words of caution as well as enlightenment and encouragement. You delivered these blessings to me Father. You deliver blessings to me in the physical, metaphysical, and spiritual form. No man could ever provide all three forms of blessings. No man could provide constant and unconditional care, love, guidance, and support like You. Thank You Father. Thank You. Amen.

Natasha’s Daily Scripture, Prayer, and Reflection for 10.3.18

Scripture

No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.

1 Corinthians 10:13 NIV

Reflection

God provides a way to solutions. The petitions of a faithful heart leads to the result of answered prayers. Along our journey we face obstacles, distractions and temptation. How do we respond, act, and think when our path is not smooth sailing? How easily are we lured in different directions or convinced to dig our heels in and progress no further?

God watches and waits. He knows are strengths, weaknesses and limitations. He knows how much we can bear, how much weight that we can carry before we break, and so He provides us relief when He knows we need it most. Now, that’s not to say that His grace is lenient during our moments of disobedience and disrespect. No, we have to feel what we need to feel, go through what we need to go through, and see what we need to see—so that we can learn our lesson and move forward wiser, stronger, and hopefully with faithful obedience thereafter. Beautifully, even through that experience, there are countless times when God provides us a pressure valve to gain relief; countless times when He provides a way out, if we want it. Some of us see the opportunities and we gladly take them. While some of us don’t.

Pride, arrogance and greed have a way of blocking our blessings, deterring us, and slowing our growth. The learning is always shockingly painful and difficult, but necessary. And even through our ego driven state, God still ensures a way out—a way to freedom. How amazing is that? Look at how amazingly awesome that He is!

We’re all going through something right now: spiritually, physically, mentally, and/or financially. If all that we see and feel are the things that block us from freedom then how can we possibly see the valve, door, window, crawl space, button, or hatch that will lead us to the freedom we desire? If we keep putting our faith into others, depending on others, expecting others to be our answer—then how could God ever be our answer in our eyes and heart? Would we not be just like the people of Israel, taking 40 years to complete what is now said to be roughly an 11-day journey? That forest that we read of is not just literal it is symbolically spiritual. Since their faith was not fully in God, since they were confused and easily distracted and led astray, God prolonged their journey and kept them in a state that reflected their spiritual growth. Where we currently stand, our present state of affairs, just might reflect our spiritual growth—our standing as faithful and obedient, or as wavering, disobedient, conditional followers.

If we keep thinking that solutions can only come through our ego-driven efforts and not through our obedient compliance to God’s directives, then won’t we continue finding ourselves lost and walking in circles? Do we not continue to ignorantly or arrogantly seek and search for only the things that God can be and that only He can provide?

God’s waiting for us to let go and get out of the way. He says to us to do our work but stop trying to do His. This is to be a mutual relationship, a two-way connection. It’s not all about you. It should be all about how you can serve Him, reflect Him, embrace Him, be obedient and faithful to Him, and be loving and gracious to His creations.

Ponder that; but not for long. God wants action not stagnation!

Prayer

Father-Mother, I thank You for this day; a day not earned or promised, but Your will and grace made it so. Thank You. It is clear that You have important things for me to do, see, and experience today. It is clear that You have people lined up to touch my heart today, just as I’m to touch hearts. You know my heart. You know my fears. You know the challenges placed before me caused by the decisions that I made, passively or aggressively. The full picture is not clear to me. I can’t see all of the pieces to this puzzle. Only you can.

Father-Mother, I know that You have opportunities for me to walk through this painful experience to a state of freedom. Help me to see the doors, windows, levers, and openings, and fill me with the strength and courage to walk through to the other side. Help me as I take these daily steps. Help me to see and hear Your presence and Your voice above all others. I want freedom. I want to be where You want me to be so that I can serve as You see fit. You have placed big, bold dreams in my mind that have filled my heart. Help me God so that through You I can achieve those dreams, live that life, and be that person for You and Your Kingdom. In Jesus’ name I humbly and passionately pray to You. Amen.

I love each and every one of you, whether I know you personally or not. We are all children of God, which means you are my brothers and sisters. I am and forever will be your sister in Christ. Have a boldly beautiful day. Embrace your blessings and be a blessing to others. You may be used by God to be the presence and the example that someone needs to see and hear, to be inspired to turn around and embrace our amazing Creator. You never know!

Love,

Natasha

Scripture

For we walk by faith, not by sight

2 Corinthians 5:7

Reflection

It can be scary not knowing. The unknown leaves us wondering the “what-ifs” and contemplating the how, why, and where. We try to focus our sight to see if somehow our sheer determination will manifest something, anything—preferably, beneficial to us. The longer we go without sight of something familiar or welcoming, the more we begin to worry. That is a bad place to be.

That is a place and space where fear is dominating and faith is diminished or worse, not present.

It is the state of lack.

God wants us to rest and work confidently in a state of abundance, always seeing and embracing our blessings—and blessing others with our abundance and with our excess. God wants us to be grateful and express gratitude for what is yet to come, before we have it, for it is our declaration of our trust in Him.

God says, “walk” and we keep asking, “where?” and “why?” We want to see, when God just wants us to trust.

Walk.

Put one foot out in front of the other. God says to trust Him. We say that we will, once we see where we are going, once we know we have a strong foothold. God says that He is our foothold. We say, sometimes without saying aloud, “yes this is true but I would feel more confident in You if I could see You, just as I see others”.

I’ve done this, you have done this, we have all done this—one way or another. If you don’t agree, then explain to me why you don’t obey and step out on faith every single time He calls to you?

Let’s keep it real shall we?

You don’t have total faith in Him. You don’t trust Him 100 percent. If you did you would take the step and walk. We’re all guilty of it.

I’m most definitely guilty.

We want what we have never had yet we can’t trust the process. We want one million dollars or one billion dollars, even though we have never had it before, and our minds can conceive and visualize this as our reality—-yet we doubt God’s ability to provide or to provide on our timetable, yet He provides all things, even that million and billion dollars—and He provides all things at the right time, when He says that we are ready. Sadly, many of us receive our blessings “late” or never because of our lack of faith and obedience.

Prayer

Father thank You for equipping me with the strength, knowledge, wisdom, and belief in You to walk by faith—-that with and through You all is possible and nothing is impossible. I don’t need to wait to see my blessings, because I already know that everything is taken care of. Today I have faith that You have already handled all of my needs, concerns, issues, and problems. Thank You Father. Amen.

Love always,

Natasha
