Reflection
There is nothing in life that we receive in joy that does not come from our heavenly Father. Little or big, it does not matter, as they all come from Him.
I just read an excerpt from a Bible plan created by Joyce Meyers, and she speaks of a time when in prayer she mumbled to God a question asking Him why she no longer received the blessings of years past that would wow and stun her. God replied that He never stopped blessing her, she had merely grown accustomed to the blessing and was no longer shocked and amazed.
How many of us take for granted our blessings simply because they’re always present and accounted for each day?
The clothes that you wear, the food that you eat, the transportation that you use to get you from points A to E, the air that you breathe, the functioning of your body, the processing of your mind, your laughter and your tears, the joy within—all of these things and so much more that we take for granted. Every day God makes these things possible.
We should be wowed each day. We should be grateful and thanking God each day for these gifts. We did not earn them. We are not entitled to them. It is always and only because of Him.
Be grateful and praise His Holy name. Give thanks today, right now and throughout your day, and each day.
Prayer
Father, thank You for every gift given to me and delivered through me. Thank You for every opportunity presented, every opportunity seized, and every opportunity that results in my ability to bless others.
You are my constant. You are always here. I can always count on You. You are my ever-present source of strength, courage, hope, love, peace, and joy. Thank You Father. Amen.
