Breaking Bread for 2.11.20

Happy Tuesday, Breaking Bread family!

Let me start by wishing my aunt Ava a very happy birthday. I pray for her abundance of blessings.

Are you ready for today’s message? Great. Let’s dive in!

Do not let anyone who delights in false humility and the worship of angels disqualify you. Such a person also goes into great detail about what they have seen; they are puffed up with idle notions by their unspiritual mind. They have lost connection with the head, from whom the whole body, supported and held together by its ligaments and sinews, grows as God causes it to grow.

Colossians 2:18-19

Pray for discernment. Pray that God constantly reveals to you the truth about every situation, every thing, and every person (even yourself). And that you have the wisdom and humility to see, hear, and recognize the reality as He reveals it.

Pray for the strengthened bond to know God’s voice above all others, so that you learn to follow and obey that voice—and not be lured and trapped by others, pretending to be God.

Father, open my eyes to see, tune my ears to hear, and focus my mind to process that which You want me to know and understand. Lovingly turn me away from those who serve themselves and seek only to be served, yet do not serve You and the least of Your children. Turn me away from those who pretend to be in service of You.

Father, let me see the unbalanced for what and who they are—disconnected from You. Let me see the difference between those who genuinely walk in Your light and truth, as compared to the fakers.

By knowing this truth, I then can see Your work versus the deeds of the enemy. This allows me to step aside and live my life as You see fit, serve where You direct me, and do so without entertaining the interference of fools.

Let me be clear in my recognition of Your voice, presence, and guidance. That way I can’t be led astray. In Jesus’ name I humbly pray to You, and only You. Amen.

Lovingly your sister in Christ,
