Breaking Bread For 4.14.20

My eyes are ever on the lord, for only he will release my feet from the snare.

Psalm 25:15

We place ourselves in the situations that we’re in, in the snares that seem to keep us from moving forward. Our fear of failure or success, of not being or having perfection, and not living up to our standards and the perceived standards of others—both traps and suffocates us.

Our eyes, mind, and heart should only be focused on God as He is the only judge who determines right versus wrong, and perfection versus imperfection. He is the only source that can take our fears away and bring peace to our lives.

I find myself in situations in my personal and professional life where I feel stuck, trapped, confused, and frustrated. Sometimes I’m not sure how I will pay a bill, form more long-lasting and rewarding professional relationships to build my business, or find a place that I can truly call my home.

Guess what?

The answer is right in front of me. It always has been and always will be. My solution to life’s dilemmas comes from turning to and trusting in God. It’s crazy how we can make something so simple so complex. If you truly believe then you won’t ever have doubt. I guess we all have something to work on!

Father, I know that You are my only source for freedom, true love, and peace. You are the only answer to the questions “How do I fix this?…How do I get out of this situation?…How do I make things right?”

Because only You can free me from the snare that I have placed myself within. Only You can free me from bondage and show me the way to the promised land. Only You can bring me peace of mind and soothe my spirit.

Every day that I rise, I am grateful that You have blessed me with another day. When I blink my eyes and can see, when I can hear the water from the faucet, when I wash my face and brush my teeth—I am so grateful. When I rub my hands together and I can feel the sensation, when I wiggle my toes and cross my legs— I am so grateful. I am grateful for the blessing to read, comprehend, and speak so others might hear and understand me.

Thank You Father for all those blessings and so many more. In Your name I humbly pray. Amen.
