Scripture
Therefore, my brothers and sisters, make every effort to confirm your calling and election. For if you do these things, you will never stumble, and you will receive a rich welcome into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
2 Peter 1:10-11 NIV
Reflection
Look to see your purpose, calling and election— then live to fulfill these expectations as the Lord has called you to do. We have all been called to do certain things in life; it is up to us to listen, act, and do our best to serve our Heavenly Father and His children. When we faithfully and obediently march for His cause and walk on His path, His hand always guides us and we won’t stumble. It’s when we choose to live our own lives, separate from His direction that we always fall on our face…repeatedly.
I don’t know about you, but I’m tired of wrestling with God. I’d rather walk in peace with Him. All of these problems that we face is because we keep wrestling with Him. Some of us are busy pursuing someone else’s calling and election. Some of us are meddling in the affairs of others instead of staying in our own lane. Keep your eyes on God, your ears tuned into His voice, and your spirit firmly linked to His. We can’t stumble when His Hand is guiding us.
Prayer
Father, let me first start by saying thank you Lord for all You do— past, present and future. Father this is the time for me to confirm my calling and election. Let me stand firm in the knowledge and wisdom of Your plan for me. I want to serve You fully, purposely and purposefully. I want to do right by You. I want to live the life of honor that best reflects You. Never do I want You disappointed in me Father. In Your Name I pray and praise. Amen.
Love always,
Natasha
