Breaking Bread For 2.8.21

Scripture

As free, and not using your liberty for a cloke of maliciousness, but as the servants of God.

1 Peter 2:16 (KJV)

Reflection

We are free people given the right to make decisions in our lives. We can either choose a life of dishonesty, deceit, maliciousness, and hate; or we can choose to live in God’s loving Light. There is no reason to lie to or mistreat another person, ever. There is no reason to live a life of deceit. God sees and hears all; He’s just waiting for you to change your ways, ask for forgiveness, and don’t repeat the offense. In our deception we fail to see that we are merely pawns of the enemy. But God always puts the enemy in checkmate. Don’t find yourself on the losing team. Get it together and get on the right side. Serve God not Satan.

Prayer

Father, I pray for a heart filled with all that is of You and nothing that is of the enemy. I only want to serve You, listen to You, and obey You. I don’t want to be misled to follow the enemy. Help me to hear Your voice through the crowds and distractions. Help me to hear Your voice during moments of pain, rage, and fear. I hope to always feel Your touch, redirecting me from decisions that I will regret. I don’t want to disappoint You. I don’t want to be disconnected from You. Help me Father. I pray these things in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Love,

Natasha
