Breaking Bread For 2.10.21

Scripture

Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.

Colossians 4:2

Reflection

Prayer should not be passive nor should it be for show, but rather purposeful. This is your time with God. Prayer is another sign of your devotion to God, Jesus, and the Kingdom that you are an ambassador for. Each time you speak to God you are demonstrating your faith in Him, as you bring Him your praise, questions, and petitions. Take several moments throughout your day to pray, reflect, show thanks and appreciation, and to give back to our Heavenly Father. Don’t just use prayer as a time to express a form of conditional love, where you are only asking for something and only thankful when you receive His blessings.

Prayer

Father, every day throughout my day I want to stop and pray to You, to give thanks to You, and to connect with You. In my prayers I deepen my understanding of my purpose and Your guidance over me. Through my prayers, my eyes are opened wider and my ears are more alert. I am able to discern more, because, through Your patience and care I have been exposed to Your truths— and the more I believe, the more I receive. Thank You Father. Amen.

Lovingly,

Natasha
