Breaking Bread For 2.19.21

Scripture

In you, lord my God, I put my trust.

Psalm 25:1

Reflection

There is no other truth, reality, comfort, or source of reliance except our Heavenly Father. Trust in Him and put everything else to the side. When you doubt someone close to you, trust that God is with you, and will always reveal the Truth. Trust in God to bring you out of harm’s way, and know that even as Joseph learned while enslaved in Egypt, sometimes what you see as hell is only a breakthrough to greatness. Joseph became a ruler over Egypt, the same land where he was sold to by his brothers (when he was 17 years old) and lived as a slave for 13 years. When you doubt your ability to accomplish or overcome something, trust that the Lord is there to help you. Trust those dreams He gives you,  just like Joseph trusted the dreams God gave him. Know that you can be redeemed just like David, who did some awful things, but God was more concerned about his heart than his stupid and selfish actions. David realigned, put his trust in God, and walked accordingly. God said we can if we believe and trust in Him. Where will you put your trust? Who and what will you believe?

Prayer

Father, when I can’t put my trust in man I know that I can always trust in You. When man has betrayed me and caused me to question their honor, loyalty, and truthfulness I know that You will never fail me and let me down. I know that You will never lie, deceive, mistreat, or hide anything from me. I know that in You, Lord, the truth is always revealed. For those reasons and more, I will always humbly follow You and praise Your Holy Name. Amen.

Love,

Natasha
