Breaking Bread For 2.24.21

For we live by faith, not by sight.

2 Corinthians 5:7

Let’s discuss FAITH right now. Not fear, not doubt, not anger, not confusion, not cynicism—just faith. In Hebrew, the word for faith means “support” such as “to support”, or support in/of something or someone. When you look at faith through that lens you can see why God is looking to us to support His plans, His vision, so that He can keep His promises. If we don’t believe in Him, follow Him, align with Him, then how can He possibly keep His promises? How can He help us to grab ahold of those dreams that capture our hearts so tenderly? We’re to have faith and believe that God is protecting us, and is there for us and our loved ones always. Our faith supports the understanding that His correction is out of love, to mold us and properly align us—never to harm us. Our faith in God to believe that only He can conquer and defeat the enemy. Faith in the future, and that it is restored and reconciled by God. Our God of today is no different from God of the past, and He will be the same God in the future. Today I pray to God that He comforts those in need. I pray that He sees them through these challenges and heals them 100% from their inflictions. I know that God is here always. Because I have faith!

Father, today my faith is being tested. I am tested in my belief of Your presence, protection, watchfulness, healing, direction, and leadership. I am tested to see if whether or not I believe that You are taking care of me and my needs, and those people that I love and cherish the most. Father, it is not what I see that matters; that is not what faith requires— it is just knowing and believing in Your power, love and presence consistently throughout my life and the generations before me. It’s the unknowns in life that require me to believe in You, Your grace and power. The unknowns of man are always explained and solved by You. I turn all of my worries, concerns, and needs over to You Father. In Your capable Hands all will be made right, well, and good. Amen.

Loving you all,
