Breaking Bread For 2.18.22

Scripture

For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.

Matthew 6:14

Reflection

We must stop carrying around anger, resentment, bitterness, sadness, jealousy and envy. We must let go and turn our cares and troubles over to our Heavenly Father. We must learn to leave balancing scales to God. Let Him be our vindicator. Repurpose that toxic energy. Stop allowing it to eat away at you. Don’t let pain kill the best in you. Let it go and begin to forgive. Forgive yourself, forgive others—starting today.

Today, I take that step to forgive someone who has wronged me, but may not even realize how much it truly affected me.

Prayer

Father, I must let go of this burden I keep carrying around and forgive those who have hurt me. I cannot ask for Your forgiveness if I can’t forgive others. I have to accept the fact that You will always settle my grievances, You will always right the wrongs done against me, and You will always bring light into dark places and spaces. I thank You Father. In Your Name I pray. Amen.
