Scripture

For what a man thinks, he is.

Proverbs 23:7

Reflection

There’s a saying that “what you think about you bring about.” Our thoughts and speech are powerful. We can either speak and think of a prosperous future or a bleak existence. We can look around us and see nothing but darkness, giving credit to the enemy, and speak that as our reality, or we can see the penetrating light and declare God’s dominion over all. Our words and thoughts are energy that comes from within. What type of energy do you want to put out there?

I’m inspired by the comforting feeling that God always has me, even when I feel astray, lost, or alone. I would rather focus on goodness, positivity, and greatness. I’m learning to rebuke the lies the enemy whispers and shouts at me and counter them with words of Truth. The enemy wants me and you to meditate on lies, take them in, believe them to be true, and reject God’s Truth. The enemy wants us to think less of ourselves, to see ourselves as worthless, rather than see ourselves as God designed and sees us.

I’m learning to focus more on what God says about me than what others say to and about me. I strongly encourage you to do the same. Don’t you dare allow your mind to meditate on lies and don’t you dare speak those lies! Think and speak the Truth that God speaks over you and others.

Prayer

Father I pray for clear, positive, loving thoughts about myself and others. Let me reject the negativity, fear, and darkness, and embrace the Light of Your Truth. Remind me to always speak Your Truth anytime a lie surfaces with a plan of attack. Help me to shut down and destroy that lie. The words I speak will either heal or harm, serve Your purpose or the enemy’s. I want to choose You every time. Help me Father. Help me to discern and then take action through Your guidance. I come to You ready to put on Your armor, to share the fruits of the Spirit, using my words to build and strengthen Your Kingdom.

And with that family, I pray that you are blessed, that you see and embrace your blessings, and that you are a blessing to others.

Love,

Natasha
