Scripture

Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and everyone who loves the father loves his child as well. This is how we know that we love the children of God: by loving God and carrying out his commands. 

In fact, this is love for God: to keep his commands. And his commands are not burdensome, for everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. Who is it that overcomes the world? Only the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God.

1 John 5:1-5

Reflection

The enemy would have us believe that God is not with us, that He has abandoned us, that His son is not our shepherd, and that our safest bet would be to not follow God’s commandments but instead follow the enemy into darkness. What do you believe? Who do you follow? I believe in and follow the Father and the Son.

Prayer

Father, I believe in You and I believe that Jesus is Your Son, and the only way to You is through him. I carry this knowledge in my heart and mind, and promise to each day work to be a better person, ambassador, and follower of Christ. In Your son Jesus’ Name I pray. Amen.

And with that family, I pray that you are blessed, that you see and embrace your blessings, and that you are a blessing to others.
