Scripture

Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up.

Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm. But how can one keep warm alone? Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.

Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 NIV

Reflection

First, I want to thank my friend Juanita Bryan who shared the first two verses of today’s Scripture with me several years ago. They touched me deeply, so I decided to share those and more with you today.

I am so blessed, yet at the same time, I have to admit that there are moments when I’m blinded by the world and that nagging voice of the enemy. Sometimes I may be overwhelmed by things that I think are huge, but they are minuscule in God’s eyes. So I’m learning how to stop focusing on those things I have absolutely no power over and instead use that time and energy to be grateful for God’s blessings.

I am very grateful for and to my immediate and extended family and most faithful friends. They know and give love. These strands can’t be easily broken.

I know that I am not alone spiritually, physically, or on any level. God has set up my life; all I have to do is stay on my path and follow Jesus’s lead. Isn’t that what Jesus did? He trusted God, remained on the path, and followed God’s lead. Since Jesus is our way-shower, we must follow suit and walk to our salvation.

I want every day to count and not be wasted. I pray the same for each of you. God bless you all.

Prayer

Father-Mother, thank You for everything. Thank You for my blessings–those seen and embraced and those I have yet to see or acknowledge. I want to thank You for opening my eyes to the reality that everything that comes to me through Your Light is a blessing, and I am to embrace it humbly, and I’m never to allow my pride to get in the way.

Thank You for the people that You have placed in my life; they are a blessing. Thank You for my family and loved ones, who are there for me each day. I am so grateful. Thank You for opening doors and windows, and nooks and crannies, of opportunities for me. I never want to disappoint You. I love You. Amen.

Love,

Natasha
