Seek Him

Today’s message is from Day 135 of my book Seek Him, Volume 2: Going Beyond Your Spiritual Comfort Zone. The theme is “How Are You Investing Your Time?”

Scripture

Why am I so depressed? Why this turmoil within me?

Put your hope in God, for I will still praise Him, my Savior and my God.

—Psalm 42:11 HCSB

Reflection

We are all tested. Scenarios will always be presented where our judgment will come into question, and our character is defined. Are we spiritually mature and tough enough? Sometimes we will be tested through our loved ones. Friends and, yes, family. For many of us, this test comes mostly from family. How do we respond? Do we release it all to God, or do we struggle to try and fix things on our own and then wonder why matters only get worse?

If things are not right in your life, pray to God to reveal all. Then look in the mirror and look within yourself. You will see the culprit and the answer to why things aren’t going the way they should. You can blame others, but you choose when and how to engage with them.

God doesn’t do chaos and disorder, only order, structure, and peace. We must fall in line to receive the life we’re supposed to have. We must do it with hope, humility, passion, and appreciation. When we continue to follow Jesus and serve God, there is constant peace— even in turmoil, because we know from Whom we belong. Pray for the way and the right turns, each step on your path. Pray that God touches those around you so that they lean on Him and not on you.

PRAYER

Father, give me the strength to endure and persevere in the worst of times. Give me the patience to wait, listen, and gain the guidance I need from You and Jesus. Fill me with the grace to handle all situations with Your Light. May I joyfully reflect Your love in my fullness. Equip me with the tools to work through any circumstance. Turn me from all negativity. Help me to stop being a leaning post for others. Instead, let me serve as an ambassador that guides them to You through Jesus. Help me, Father. Touch me to my core so that my foundation is unshakeable. Thanking You now, Father. Amen.

Natasha’s Daily Scripture, Prayer, and Reflection for 6.27.19

Scripture

Why, my soul, are you downcast?
Why so disturbed within me?
Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God.

Psalm 42:11 NIV

Reflection

We are all tested. Scenarios will always be presented, where our judgment will come to question.

Are we spiritually mature and tough enough?

Sometimes we will be tested through our loved ones—friends and yes, family—for many of us this test comes mostly from family.

How do we respond?

Do we release it all to God or do we struggle to try and fix things on our own, and then wonder why matters only get worse?

If things are not right in your life, pray to God to reveal all—then look in the mirror and look within yourself—and you will see the culprit, and the answer to why things aren’t going the way they should.

God doesn’t do chaos and disorder, only order, structure, and peace. Don’t confuse His realignment of you as chaos and disorder. No, it may disrupt your toxic contentment and complacent environment, but His moves always bring order, structure, and peace. He rights the wrongs. He turns upright, that which was misdirected. Get that clear in your mind and heart, right now.

We must fall in line to receive the life that we’re supposed to have, and we must do it with hope, humility, passion and appreciation.

When we continue to follow Jesus, to serve God, there is constant peace—even in turmoil, because we know from Whom we belong, and we know that He has us.

Pray for the way, and the right turns—each step on your path. Pray that God touches those around you so that they lean on Him and not on you; that they lean on Him, and not try to hold you back or steer you off course. Pray to be cloaked in His Light.

Prayer

Father, give me the strength and courage to endure and persevere, even in the worst of times. Give me the peaceful patience to wait, listen, and gain the guidance that I need from You and Jesus.

Fill me with the grace to handle all situations, without showing and expressing anything but Your light. Pour Your loving light into me so that I can only reflect Your love, in my fullness. Equip me with the tools to work through any circumstance. Turn me from all negativity, so that even if I’m physically present, I am spiritually and mentally grounded in Your presence.

Help me to stop being a leaning post for others, but rather let me serve as an ambassador that guides them to You through Jesus. Help me to show them how to lean on You and Jesus. Help me to show them how to stand in Your light, empowered to turn to You.

Help me Father. Touch me to my core, so that my foundation is unshakeable. Thanking You now Father. Amen.

Love,

Natasha

Natasha’s Daily Scripture, Prayer, and Reflection for 12.2.16

Scripture

Psalm 42:11

Pray

Bring me peace Father. I’m praising You through my storm because I see the rainbow on the other side. I’ve got my umbrella and rain boots. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Reflection

Don’t wallow away in life’s storms. Splash around like you did as a child. Feel the rain. Believe it or not, it is healing. It makes you stronger. If you can make it through the storm you can relish in the wondrous rainbow after. You can see God’s creations through a new lens and in a new light.

Keep your head up and slip on those rain boots, rain coat, and get out there and show the world what you’re made of. Praise God and prove that nobody and nothing can hold you back. God’s in control. God’s got this worked out. God’s already several moves ahead of the several moves you visualized. Let go and let Him show out for you!
